Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy explains how Anavrita handles personal information when you visit anavrita.in, create an account, shop or contact us. It is intended for customers in India and is read with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its applicable rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, email, mobile number, delivery and billing address, PIN code, optional GST details, account information, order items, payment references and support messages. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the profile information you allow Google to share, such as your name, email and profile picture.
How we use information
We use information to manage accounts and carts, verify contact details, process payments, fulfil and deliver orders, issue invoices, handle returns and refunds, provide support, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. We send service messages by email, SMS or WhatsApp where available. Promotional communications, where sent, are subject to applicable law and your choices; you can ask us to stop them.
Payments
Online payments are processed by payment providers such as Razorpay. We receive transaction references, amounts and payment status, and may receive a payment reference you submit for verification. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own privacy and security policies.
Who receives information
We share relevant information with payment providers, delivery and logistics partners, hosting and technology providers, sign-in and verification services, and email, SMS and WhatsApp service providers to operate the store. Couriers receive contact, address and relevant order details. Authorised staff and advisers may access information for their work, and we may disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, device data and location
Cookies and browser storage support sign-in, guest identification, carts, saved products, checkout drafts, language preferences and receipt links. Our systems may record IP addresses, browser or device information, activity and timestamps. Clearing or blocking storage may affect store features and does not delete records already held by us.
Measurement and advertising
When enabled, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API measure page views, product views, cart actions, checkout and purchases. Information sent to Meta may include browser or device identifiers, activity, product and order details, and hashed email or mobile identifiers for matching. Hashed identifiers can still relate to you. Meta may use this information under its own policies. You can manage available advertising preferences through Meta and cookie controls through your browser.
Retention and security
We retain information for account services, orders, customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax and other legal requirements. The period varies with the purpose and applicable law; some records and backups may remain after an account or deletion request. We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Processing by service providers
Some technology and communication providers may process information outside India. Where this occurs, processing is subject to applicable Indian legal requirements and the provider's terms and safeguards. Links to third-party services are covered by those services' own privacy policies.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update available profile details in your account. You may contact us to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or raise a privacy grievance, subject to applicable law. We may verify your identity and ask for enough information to locate the relevant records. Withdrawal may limit services that need the information; legally required records may be retained. We will explain any applicable limits when responding. Never send passwords, OTPs or payment PINs with a request.
Children
The store is intended for adults. Anyone under 18 should use it through a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The updated policy and its revision date will appear on this page. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
